2005 Jaguar XKR

Appearance changes to the grille, wheels, and tailpipes mark the 2005 alterations to Jaguars sportiest cars. XKs come as coupes and convertibles in XK8 and XKR trim. All use a 4.2-liter V8. It has 294 hp in the XK8, 390 hp in the supercharged XKR. A 6-speed automatic is the only transmission. Front side airbags, rear-obstacle warning, antiskid/traction control, and ABS are standard. XKRs have Brembo-brand brakes. All XKs come with 18-inch wheels. XK8s offer optional 19s; 20s are available for XKRs. XKRs have a mesh grille, louvered hood, rear spoiler, and computer-controlled shock absorbers. Standard on XKR and optional on XK8 are a navigation system and self-leveling xenon headlamps.
