2001 Mazda 626

The 2001 Mazda 626 continues with minor refinements to the vehicle. All vehicles add a modular audio system, internal trunk release system, and EZ-Kool Glass. The 626 now achieves NLEV emission compliance, and the high mount stoplamp and speaker grilles are redesigned. The side airbags and ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with Traction Control are now available as stand alone options on V6 models. A new exterior color, Galaxy Blue, is now available. The 2.0L four-cylinder engines horsepower is reduced from 130 to 125, and the 2.5 liter V6 engines horsepower is now 165 compared with 170 last year.
