2000 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class

The CL enters 2000 virtually unchanged. It is only available in a single model - the CL500. A second model, which will be equipped with a V12 engine, may be added in 2001. Standard luxury amenities include heated 12-way power seats, walnut trim appliques, a full leather trimmed interior and an 11-speaker Bose Beta sound system. Standard safety features include dual front and side impact airbags, neon high-intensity discharge headlights, child seat anchors and TeleAid with GPS. The CL500 will also feature Active Body Control (ABC), which is a suspension system designed to prevent body roll as well as help eliminate pitch while braking, cornering and accelerating.
