1998 Pontiac Sunfire

The 1998 Sunfire is available in four models- SE Coupe, SE Sedan, GT Coupe and SE Convertible. The rear decklid spoiler is now standard on all coupes and optional on the sedan with a center high mounted stop light included. Depowered dual airbags, transmission improvements to the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic, and improvements to the standard 2.2L four cylinder engine are the major changes for 1998. The four speed automatic transmission includes Pontiacs Enhanced Traction System, a form of traction control. Also new for 98, is the addition of Topaz Gold to the list of exterior color choices.
